Do it yourself upcycle tips for Canada's 150!
Happy Birthday Canada! For 150 years our beautiful country has given us a place to call home. With stunning summers and (yes - we’re going to dare to say it) winter wonderlands, no matter the season Canada is an amazing place to live.

Tin Can Utensil Caddy
Save your old tin cans and turn them into a utensil caddy for quick grab-and-go at your Canada Day barbeque. Use 250mL cans for forks, knives and spoons and use 1L cans for your barbeque tools.

Pallet Seating
Worried about seating? Don’t be afraid to invite the whole neighborhood with easy to assemble outdoor seating made from old pallets. Just stack and drill a few old pallets together until you have the length you like. For a more rustic look, add a stain to preserve the wood. If you have a color theme, paint them any shade you like to match your outdoor décor. To add a little comfort, a few outdoor pillows will finish the look.

If you have a lot of different tables and want to avoid a bottle neck at the condiment stand, turn old 6-Pack boxes into Party Pack Condiment stands. Give each table its very own Ketchup, Mustard, Hot Sauce, Barbeque Sauce, Mayo, Relish, Dijon Mustard, Sweet Relish, Purple Ketchup . . . There’s a lot you can do with these condiment stands.

Having a few friends or the whole block over can be stressful. The cleaning starts the day before the party and can last long into July 2nd (and 3rd . . . and 4th?) Avoid the stress of trying to find the right cleaner in a pile of bottles. Install a tension rod underneath any sink for an easy place to hang cleaning products and creating tons of space underneath.
